Welcome to Teen Teacher! Chances are if you clicked on this you are a teenager or young adult looking for easy ways to make money. Today I have compiled a list of odd jobs that might allow you to make some easy and fast cash.

  • Babysitting- You might have seen this on every other list that promises to help teenagers find ways to make money, but hear me out. I am a teenager currently making money off of babysitting! There are so many different ways to find babysitting jobs in your area! First, let your friends and family know that you are looking to babysit and that if they need a babysitter, you are willing to do it. TELL THEM TO SPREAD THE WORD! Most of my babysitting jobs have come from people I babysit for telling other people! If you cannot find anyone that way, try posting about your services in in your local shops, newspapers, and Facebook pages. In your ad, let them know how much you charge an hour and that you have references (Find a nice adult to be your reference).
  • Yard work- This job is usually always needed and easy to find people who need this work. If you have the materials for this job, advertise that!! People will be happy that they do not need to take their stuff out of the garage for you. If you do not have the materials, don't fret! Just put that in your advertisement, but keep in mind that they will want to pay you less.
  • Tutoring- Even if you are not the smartest kid in town, you can tutor young kids in English, math, science, or any subject they may be struggling with. If you do excel in school, you could tutor your peers in whatever subject you do best in!
  • Dog walking/grooming- If you have older people in your neighborhood or you know older people with dogs, this could be perfect for you. They might not be able to take their dogs baths, play with them, or walk them as often as they would like and that is where you come in! Offer to help take care of them for a fair price, and you can earn money while also helping people.
  • Computer work-This one might be harder to find but it could be worth it if you love to work with computers. Social media helps a lot of businesses grow and advertise, but a lot of local businesses don't have someone to keep up with their social media. Go to your local businesses and let them know that you can do good social media work for a decent price and if they are not interested tell them to spread the word!! Even if it is just for a summer job, you can make good money for helping a business grow.
  • Sell your old stuff- There is plenty of ways to get money by getting rid of old stuff that you don't need! Clothes, books, and furniture are usually the most popular for people to buy used.
  • Use your talents!- If you have a talent, use it! If not there is a lot of talents that are easily learned that can make money! You can make bows, learn how to crochet or knit, learn how to make balloon animals, teach yourself how to paint, learn how to sew, learn how to make t-shirt quilts, learn how to do hair and makeup, and so much more!
